The Symposium Peregrinum 2026 comes to Brescia
In 2026 the Symposium Peregrinum will come to Brescia with a new edition devoted to the theme Catastrophes and Rebirth in the Greek and Roman World.
The Symposium Peregrinum is an international conference on the study of the ancient world, created to foster dialogue between researchers and scholars from the different disciplines of Greek and Roman culture. Since its first editions, the Symposium has stood out as an open, travelling space for scholarly dialogue. For Endimione ETS, organising the Symposium Peregrinum 2026 is an important opportunity to promote dialogue between international research, cultural heritage and the Brescia area.
The Brescia edition will take place from 18 to 20 June 2026 and will be coordinated by Endimione ETS, with the support of the Municipality of Brescia and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
The chosen theme, Catastrophes and Rebirth in the Greek and Roman World, invites reflection on the forms of crisis, destruction, transformation and rebirth in the Greek and Roman world. Through historical, literary, philosophical, archaeological and religious-historical perspectives, the conference aims to explore how ancient cultures represented, interpreted and reworked experiences of rupture and regeneration.
