Our vision

Endimione believes in an open, accessible and shared culture, able to build relationships, generate knowledge and create opportunities for dialogue, encouraging participation in the cultural and civic life of the community.

Our vision is to build, over time, a cultural organisation rooted in the Brescia area but open to national and international dialogue: a meeting place for research, outreach, education and citizens, where different skills can work together to enhance the cultural, historical, artistic and human heritage of the place where the association operates.

Endimione ETS aims to promote an interdisciplinary and inclusive culture that steps outside specialist spaces, opens up to a wider audience and builds a community.

In the long term, Endimione aspires to grow into a stable point of reference for cultural promotion, science communication and collaboration between universities, schools, institutions, associations and public and private organisations that share the same idea of culture.

Our values: sharing knowledge, research and critical rigour, interdisciplinarity, citizen participation, education and a voice for young people, care for the local area, and collaboration between associations, schools, universities and institutions.

Our mission

Endimione ETS is a non-profit association based in Brescia, born from the conviction that culture can leave a lasting mark and keep generating meaning over time. The association's very name recalls the myth of the shepherd loved by the Moon goddess and its later retellings, such as John Keats's poem Endymion, which opens with the line “A thing of beauty is a joy forever”.

The association works in culture in the broadest sense of the word: from the ancient world to philosophy, from history to literature, from art to the promotion of cultural heritage.

The mission of Endimione ETS is to create opportunities for dialogue between research, institutions, the local area and citizens, promoting culture as a space for discussion and participation.

To pursue these aims, we promote talks, lectures, seminars, conferences, study days, cultural series, educational projects, and publishing, digital and multimedia activities, also in collaboration with schools, universities, cultural bodies, institutions, associations and public or private organisations.
