Symposium Peregrinum 2026: how it went

From 18 to 20 June 2026 Brescia hosted the Symposium Peregrinum, the travelling international conference devoted to the study of the ancient world. Scholars from several countries discussed the theme Catastrophes and Rebirth in the Greek and Roman World, at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Palazzo Martinengo delle Palle.

For Endimione ETS it was the first major international project coordinated by the association. The Symposium reminded us how much we believe that research and culture can become an opportunity for meeting and sharing, and we hope it marks the beginning of new collaborations with universities and cultural institutions in our city.

Thank you to the organisers, speakers, participants and audience, who made the conference a place of dialogue between different disciplines, traditions and perspectives. Special thanks to the Municipality of Brescia and the Associazione Artigiani for their patronage, to the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore for hosting and organising, and to the Fondazione Tassara and MITA Centro Culturale for their support.

The programme, the call for papers and materials from previous editions are available on the Symposium Peregrinum page.
